Upon th* Utlca market •» Monday tit* absence of salesmen was more net* 111* than upon any previous Monday during the past two months. The light attendance was doubtless due to the fact that salesmen believed little bust- nets would o« done owing to the po litical excitement. Nevertheless the transactions were compartively numer ous; and were sufficient to present the customary indications. As the season advances the distinction between Sep tember and October cheese becomes more clearly defined. Trade was dull- save In the lessened attendance. Saler. men were somewhat less diposed to hold, particularly those who havo no September cheese. At Little Falls Monday the market was very dull. Most of the business was transacted early 'in the day and at 4-F. M.; there were more huy#rs than salesmen On the market. There will un doubtedly be a larger offering next wfeek. The highest price was paid *fdr Sep tember; 12}c was paid for September aad October mixed, and the lower fig ures for October exclusively. White cheese was sent on commission* Tub lots of farm dairy were sod at il@26$e> BUTTER.--Sales of 100 tubs at 26@ 29c, and 27@28c as the ruling figures. Only four or five tubs brought the highest figure. WATEBTOWS, November 7tlu CHEISK.--Salesnrau here Saturday were offered everywhere from 9 to 12c for their cheese, but decliued all these offers, believing it would pay them" to to hold still longer. The offering foot up 6,985 boxes. There was more cheese represented, but salesmen failed to register. No sales whatever were made. A New Hair Tonic Having. Worth It is the best.
