SMITH SEAULES, of this village, had the misfortune to lose his valuable blooded horse MPat," on Sunday last. Oa Monday of last week lie drove him to Chicago, and kept htm there In a Livery Stable until Saturday morning, when he started for home. He drove to Wheeling, the horse apparently being as well as ever, when he put up to teed. Here the horse refused to eat, aud kept growing worse until Sunday afternoon, when he died. A Veterina ry Surgeon who was present opened him and found his stomach entirely empty, with indications that he had had nothing to eat tor two day*. If this should prove true, that the Livery men had allowed him to stand without food or water, they should tie punished |o the iuilest extent of /the law. He was perhaps on# of the most valuable horses in this section, and particularly valuable to his owner, having been raised by htm, and a perfect pet.
