Since our last visit there h«* been some change In the business of the village^ the most important of which is at the Hotel, which Is now kept by the old Algonquin landlord, Charles Pingrey, and all are agreed that he Is the"bo8s" in that line, and that the Algonquin Hotel never was kept better than when under his care. We can as­ sure the traveling public und all others whose business may call them to that town, that they will be well taken care of by Mr. Pingrey. where everything Is made as near the comforts of a home at this popular Hotel as it Is possible to be. We next called at tlte Brick Mill of Geo. Marshall, where we found them up to their eyes In business, and they I informed <ut they were obliged to run their Mill night and day to koep up with the demands of their many cus­ tomers. They have one of the finest little Flouring Mills we were ever in, and the quality of the fiour manufac­ tured is such that it needs but to be used once to make it if} demand ever after. .. The Doctor is somewhat of a newspaper writer, and one can always speud an hour or two witli-him In the most pleasant and profitable manner. We learned that the Congregational Church, under the Pastorship of Rev. Mr. Wray, Is in a most prosperous con­ dition, and that the congregation is rapidly increasing under his ministry. The subject as announced would hardly conyey an Idea of the lecture, which treated of Republican institutions as they exist in the United States.
