This is our la;t week of school and it will be lonesome when we lose our worthy teaolier. We think the direc tors ought to secure hint for another term as he has done so well for the scholars this winter. We have got a new family In our little burg by tlio name of Stencil. They are going to live iu Rice's house. Sunday services have been resumed at the Episcopal Church, in this place* at the usual hour, 10:43 A* M*, Kev. C. D. Mack in charge. Jack Carr is going to move out. He has got tired of living where the women are boss. We learu that lie Is going to Wauoonda to be <i butcher boy. or something of the sort. Marsh Ilaldenian has got moved down here, too. He is going to work In the factory this summer, Mrs Fanny Tweed has boon very sick, but she is Improving rapidly now. There is a great deal of excitement now, between D. H aide man and M. Peck. The one is trying to beat tho other catehing skunks. They have caught somewhere about one hundred apiece this winter. They are the two great Fur men of the day. Mr. Thomas Oxtoby and Miss Anna llarne«s were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony on the first day of March, They will live on Gildon Harness' place, above the railroad. We wish them .nuch joy, and may tbey make* a success of their future life. Them fellows wouldn't trade worth a cent, would they, John ? Silver Butter Knife, Miss Katie Turner.-- Stove Holders, Mra. A, R. Alexander* Tho movement of real estate in and about Richmond i» tbe most notable for years. Aud it seams < to be so all about tlio country. Of the many change's in the village we note a few: Mrs. Ella Bowers has bought the fine twideeeo of William Cooley, and will take possession at once. Site sold the old S. P. Potter place, lately occupied \»y Miss Harness.|Dressmaker. to A. P. Gray, the new wagon shop man. who Is thoroughly repairing it for his own occupancy. By this change Miss Har ness vacated, and may be found in the pleasant rooms over Messrs. Alexander Su Hyde's store. Mr. Ben Martin, hav ing sold bis valuable farm west of town, has bought tbe J. Robinson pro perty, east of Baptist Church lor a future residence. He will goon change the appearance of the bouse and its siirrouudiag. both of which have been much uegie#ed. We welcome Mr, Martin toa^ume in the village, where we hope his declining years may be passed in the full and rational enjoy* roent aud competence his life of Hottest thrift has brought ltf«w, P. G, Sklnkle has bought the west part of the resi dence lot of James Bacon and Is mak ing preparations to put a dwelling thereon, the rental of wlileh is already engaged. Mr. Skiukle seeins to be one of the men who have faith in future values Of real estate In the village, and Is building or-biiyiug pretty often. We need more inea who will do the same. A straight dozen gdo.l mw dwellings would Itild tenants in AS many days.--- George A. Osmond has concluded t«* abandon farming, aud has engaged] with Cole Cooley Jk Co. He occupies the dwelling known as the milk house. Like most of the readouts lie at once subscribed for the PLAINUKAI.RR SO "RS to get tlie local news, and county do ings. If we could trade of) a lew street loafers for meh honest, Itard working young rofcii as Ottnond the vil lage would be a large gainer. Thomas Thompson, whose purchase of 20 acres of woodland north of town has been noted in this cohimn, has just finished a new house and barn and is n«>w in stalled In Ills ue w home. Ills son-in- law, Mr. Thomas, will hereafter run the farm, Mr, Thompson has a beauti ful situation and a little Money aud herd work can make It rery attractive. After the sale ol his farm to John Reed, "Uncle" Dan Strain moved into town, wltit his nephew, John Strain, and wife, and It living In tho house formerly the property of Mr. Leggett. We are informed Mr. Strain has bought this property. Peter Blreh has bought the Heutiing place, on Main Street and moved there. He will build ao addition, repaiat and otherwise Im* prove the premises. Alonso Beek has bought 80 acres of the Thomas estate, which was sold at auction the other day, in front of the Richmond House.-- The above are a lew of the changes of property In and about town made thla spring. It is presumed the resume Is not nearly complete, but It Is long enough to «how more than usual activ ity in rerl estate. The Republicans of Mcnenry county may be surprised to leara. that they have a '•delegation." which self be gotten aud self active represent (?) them whenever, aud wherever, in their opinion it may be necessary. They are those who "do good (?) by stealth and hltifli to find it fame." They struck it the Inst time and al- tho-igh the good hns falled to appear, •they have not escaped the fame. We have been implored to enrich history by the lives of this "delegation*' but there is so little good and so much bad aud that which would disgrace the columns of tbe &\;n(inei we have re fused. There Is plenty of it extant, howe'ver some In print, some In the archives of our country, aud much ill the speech of people, which If pub lished would be interesting. Innocent ones would antler pain and tnortifica* tlon. the simple minded be astonished and the victim regret but not repent and for tlie present we grant them the mercy of our silence.-- WooeMoek Sentinel.
