We made a Tlsit on Saturday last to the new Johnshurgh Butter and Cheese Factory, built the past spring by Bu­ chanan & Moody, and can truly say that it is one of the finest arrange*] and best conducted Factories in this section of the country. This factory is under the Immediate charge of Mr. E. Buchanan, who is a practical man in the business, having for the past twelve or fifteen years been at the head of some of the best factories in Kane and McHenry counties. The bultding Is 36x48. With a boiler room 14x16. They rim a six, horse power engine. wr|iich is connected with a ten horse power boiler. The water is brought through pipes from a spring just across the road, the snpply being abundant and of the best quality. This Factory was only started the last of April, and In a section where dairying had been but little looked after before, but at the present time they nre receiving 3000 pounds of milk per day, from which they are making one hundred and ten pounds of butter and four cheese weighing about forty pounds each. Although they had hei^n running but little over a month they paid seventy cents for the month of May. which was fully as much as most of the older factories paid.
