Temple ton, of Huntiey, now lies In Woodstock Jail, charged with the murder of his neigh­ bor, one Yoilmann. The particulars, as near as we can learn tbem are as follows. On Wednesday afternoon Templeton was In his field, which adjoins Voilmann's, burning brush. Voilmann, fearing the fire might spread to his land went out when tbe two men got Into an altercation, re suiting In Templeton shooting Yoll- mann In tbe right leg, from the effect* of which he died on Saturday. There are two stories In relation to tbe matter, Yoilmann claiming before he died tbat he had left the plac* and was walking towards tbe house when shot, while Templeton says the other party attacked him and tbat tbe shooting was done In self defenee, Jas. G. Templeton has been Super­ visor of bis town for several years, and we have always understood him to be a man highly respected by bis towns­ men. His certainly an unpleasant affair.
