An active canvass in reported as hav ing been begun in Michigan to boom the candidacy of Col. C. P. Lincoln for Com- mander-in-chief. It is not rateable to elect a commander-in-chief from the De partment in which the encampment is held. Comrade Linpoln may get the senior vice commandership.
