Mrs. Leo Salvage, of Chicago, has been visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. R. G. Chamberlain. Floyd Covalt, Elmer Duers, Ben Har­ rison and Veryl Rostncrans, of Nunda, were Sunday visitors here. Mrs. W. T. Biggs, of Chicago, and Mrs. L. H. Knigge, of Griswold Lake, visited Mrs. S. Reynolds recently. Mr. and Mrs. Emil Lasch came out from Chicago Saturday and spent the Sabbath at their Rosedale cottage. Chas. Wiedemann, of Elgin, who is traveling for the Illinois Life Insurance Company, is in McHenry this week. Mesdames Sarah Dermont, C. M. Cul­ ver and W. Parser spent last Saturday with David Parker and family at Libertyville. Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Barnes, of Wood­ stock, passed thiough this village Sun-, day evening on their way home from Beautiful Pistakee. Ed. Walsh and F. C. Going, who are employed in the wholesale grocery house of McNeil & Higgins, spent Sun­ day with home folks. Mr. and Mrs. Bohr, of Chicago, E. C. Sindy and family, of Fox Lake and Mr. Bohr and family, of McHenry, spent Sunday at the home of T. W. Winjiels. John Stroner was taken in by the Chicago sights Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Hay, former McHenry residents, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home in Johnsburgh on Tuesday, May 5. About twelve children and grand­ children were present Rollin Waite and son, Earl, S, S. Chapell, Bert Parks and C. D. Schoon- maker attended the men's meeting con­ ducted by Rev. W. A. Sunday at Rich­ mond last Sunday afternoon. The meetings will be conducted for two weeks more at least Jos. Blackwell, who was employed by Richard Thompson for two years and left for his home in London, England, about five years ago, was calling here last week. He has returned to America to stay, having brought his two sisters with nim. They have engaged rooms in the Gage house on Main street and will go to housekeeping. At present they are stopping in Chicago. The X-Rays.
