Notice is hereby given to the legal voters, residents of the town of Mc­ Henry, county of McHenry, Illinois, that the annual town meeting and elec­ tion of officers of said town will take place Tuesday, the 5th day of April, proximo, being the first Tuesday in said month. The election will be held m the following places, viz: First district, Congregational church, Ring wood. 111. Second district, village hall, McHenry, 111. The officers to be elected are: One town clerk, one assessor, one collector, one commissioner of" highways. The town meeting will be open in the village hall, McHenry, at the hour of two p. in. and after choosing a moderator will proceed to hear and consider the reports of officers, to appropriate money to de­ fray expenses of the town, and to delib­ erate and decide on such measures as may, in pursurance of law, come before the meeting. Dr. and Mrs. Spnrling of McHenry were calling here Tueseay. Atty. Hermann Hasse of Nunda was a business caller here Saturday. Mrs. Ed Knox and daughter, Mamie, spent last Friday and Saturday in Chi­ cago. Mrs. R. J. Sutton spent Tuesday evening at Miss M. Clnary's in Mc­ Henry. Mrs. Chas. Berkircher left Sunday for Fairbanks, Iowa, to see her father, who is seriously ill. Miss Nellie Frisby returned Wednes day from a few weeks' visit with her sister, Mrs. John Walsh, at Fox Lake. Robt. Aylward spent last Friday night at Algonquin. He took part in the basket ball game there, being one of the "star" junior players. E. J. Cohan, general agent of the N. Y. Life Insurance Co., of Chicago, was looking over his property here Saturday. He also called on friends in this yicin- ity and transacted business for bis com­ pany. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Smith enter­ tained a few friends Sunday. Those who were present are: Mr. and Mrs. Theo Winkles. Mr. and Mrs. Chris. Sable, Mr. and Mrs, John A. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Arena and family, Chris Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Degen and daughter. Clara.
