Our aim idiall at all times be to please bur customers, giving them full value for money receiv ed and executing the work left in our care with prompt ness and dispatch. : R. Patzke & (0. West McHenry. Ernest Engstrand, a railway work man, who, according to his own story, worked on the railroad near Beiden, Wis., during a fit of insanity wandered away from his boarding house in Wis consin last Thursday evening and dur ing the entire night roamed the fields and prairies between Beiden and Pista kee. During his Insanity streak the uafortnnate man believes himself to be pursued by members of the "Black Hand" society, and to keep away from his imagined followers he started to croes the lake in a raft. He had not gone far before, in some manner, he was thrown into the lake. The follow ing morning be was seen lying in front of the Pistakee club house. Fred JNS- ten, who is in the employ of Ben Still ing, saw him there and went over to investigate. When Justen approached the stranger, the man seemed quite nervons, and iuformed Justen that he was a member of the "Black Hand" and had been sent ont to kill some one. He told Justen that he had failed to get his man and for this reason was trying to escape his brother members, whom he declared were hot on his trail. Justen started back to Stilling's hotel with the stranger following him. When the hotel had been reached, Justen look ed around to satisfy himself of the whereat* nts of the wanderer, and to his surprise saw him pulling, out into the lake in one of Stilling's row boats Mr. Stilling also saw the man pull away and shouted to him to stop. As he did not he* d the warning, Messrs. Stilling and Justen started out in pursnit in a small lannch. When within about three yards of the boat, the now des perate man jumped into the lake and I-wam to shore. The stranger, almost exhausted, was picked up and taken into Stilling's hotel where dry clothes were furnished hioi. Marshal Walsh was notified of the mys terions stranger and drove to the lake soon after and brought him to McHenry. After giving the man eofliciwjt time to recover from his excitement. Mr. Walsh obtained from him a sensible statement, the informant telling the police officer that he had two brothers, one living in Chicago and the other in Wheaton. Mr. Walsh, after a thoro examination, satisfied himself that the man was men tally deranged. He notified the brother at Wheaton, who- in turn wired the officer to hold him until he bad suffi ciently recovered from the attack and then send him on to Wheaton, whict^ was done Saturday afternoon. voufc Ray Fisher of Wauconda was in town Sunday. A natural consequence of this evo lution is the growing demand for a Piano of a higher standard than obtained in the past. In making the Conover Piano, the manufacturers have held present day requirements constantly in view and have created methods by which they are best fulfilled. The Conover Piano, therefore, is dis tinctly a modern instrument. It embodies principles that experience has demonstrated to be the founda tion of superior tone quality and is made in accord ance with the most advanced ideas of construction. Produced under these conditions, it is a Piano that not only meets the demands of the exacting and accomplished player but exerts an important influence for the betterment of miisical knowledge. We handle the Conover and would be pleased to explain further to you why it is the best. ' N.A. HUEriANN WEST McHENRY, ILLINOIS. V. S. IilTMl.EY.
