Leach, of Elgin, made the announcement several weeks previous that he would give free diag nosis and one free treatment to all who called before January 1st he has made many believers in his power to relieve pain and cure disease by vital magne tisin--a gift of healing born in him. Those who have beeu treated now real ize his extraordinary power. Many from this section of the country called. His free offer will be continued until the new year. If you are ailirig take advantage of his proposition and see if he can relieve yon at all. If you Bbonld write to bim for information address No. 2 Spurling Building. "Never Again." The sardine box isn't in it for being crowded when it comes to the water wagon along about January 1. Every body gets on the wagon. "Never again!" is the slogan. With some this resolve is kept, but the great majority fall by the wayside, some during the first week, others in the glad spring time and still others along about July 4. When the wagon rolls into the holi days of the year, it is almost empty. Alas! Alack! That it should be so! On page of this issue yon will find a story entitled "Never Again." It is one of the big features, we are printing reg- nlarly, and is as interesting as a.new bride. "Never Again" deals, too, with men in the public eye and comments on their "neyer agains." Be sure and read what they say and tell your friends about the fine grade of literature The Plaindealer is giving its leaders these days. If you appreciate what we are trying to do in the upbuilding of this newspaper, drop in and tell us so. Medicine That Is Medicine. "I have suffered a good deal with ma laria and stomach complaints, but I have now found a remedy that keeps me well, and that remedy is Electric Bittern, a medicine that is medicine for stomach and liver troubles, aud for run down conditions, " says W C. Kiestler, of Halliday, Ark. Electric Bitters puri fy artd enrich the blood, tone up the nerves, and impart vigor and energy to the weak. Roberta, a well-known Pennsylvania weather forecaster, who has correctly forecast the winters for years by an infallible sign. <1 blares that we are to have a mild winter, followed by an early spring. Mr. Roberts has been a close observer of the weather for forty years and in all that time claims to have never gone wrong in forecasting the winter months. Tie takes his observations on the three days of the fall equinox Sept.. 20, 21 and 22 --and bases his calculations on the direction of the wind for those three days. The first day, Sept. 20, gives the weather for December, the second day. Sept. 21, gives the January weather aud the third day, Sept. 22, gives the condi tions for February. According to the observations this year, taken on those three days, the winter will ,be somewhat severe in the early part, with possibly severe snow storms; but January will be warm, with rains the first half of the month, torn ing to mild and clear weather the last half. February also will be a mild winter month anil March will. In? mild also; with an early spring. ()u Sept. 20 the wind was northeast, from which we get the cold and bad weather, north being the direction of the cold winds and from the east we get the storms. The winds on Sept. 21, which give us the indications for Janu ary, were in the southeasterly quarter in the morning and from the south in the afternoon, from which we learn that the weather in the early part of the month will be warm, with rains the first half of the month and mild and clear the last half. Sept. 22 the wind was southwest by west, giving us a mild February with generally clear weather. Mr. Roberts claims to have made these observations for years an*d never yet knew them to fail. We trust that the weather will not go back on Mr. Roberts and that his forecast will again make good, but we would not advise our farmer friends to start their corn planting much before the first of Feb ruary.
