His method deals with the blood. But long ago millions of Americans had proved Electric Bit ters prolongs life and makes it worth living. It purifies, enriches and vital izes the blood, rebuilds wasted nervp cells, imparts life and tone to the en tire system. It's a godsend to wank, sick and debilitated people. Peteiuh's. & l!i fiirm of 2150 acres, flow der the direct guidance of a spirit lead er, is today exciting the comment of farmers in the Vicinity of Ingleside, ia : - The strange and grewsome farm is that of the "Spirit Fruit" cult, and the spirit leader is Jacob Beilhart, late king of the modern lotus eaters and free love deciplea. He died more than two months ago. Since the death of the founder of "Spirit. Fruit" farm, every member of the cult who is a laborer on the farm takes directions from the spirit leader. If a hedge fence is to be chopped np, the why and wherefore comes from "Jacob." If any work at all is done on the farm the directions come from the dead leader. The medium through which "Jacob" transmits his orders to his followers is "Ma" Young, an aged member of the cnlt. It is said she goes*into a trance every evening and receives, directions from the shade of "Jacob." It was the intentien of itie leider to confer his authority on a young woman member of the cult of the name of "Bob," who was believed to. exercise considerable influence over the other members of the society. After resting in his grave beneath an old apple tree on the farm for about two weeks, the spirit of "Jacob" is said by hig follow ers to have changed its mind and de cided to run things itself. • On the farm of the "Spirit Frnit" there is a cement block house contain ing thirty-two rooms and valued at more than $50,000. It is said to be the finest honse in that part of the state. It is exquisitely furnished, heated with steam heat and has electric lights. 5oldier Bulks Death Plot. It seemed to J. A. Stone, a civil war veteran, of Kemp, Tex., that a plot ex isted between a desperate lung trouble and the grave to cause his death. "I contracted a stubborn cold," he writes, "that developed a cough that stuck to me, in spite of all remedies, for years. My weight ran down to 130 pounds. Then I began to use Dr. King's New Discovery, which restored my health completely. I now weigh 178 pounds." For severe Colds, obstinate Coughs, Hemorrhages, Asthma, and to prevent Pneumonia it's unrivaled.' 50c. and $1.00.. Trial bottle free. Guaranteed by N.H. Petesch. Look Out For*Pint*. Watch your furnaces and watch your stoves, and it will be just as well to keep an eye on your chimneys, also. During extreme cold spells, as has been demonstrated time and time again, the danger of fires is i nor eased many fold. This is true because the. extreme condi tions make it necessary for all kinds of apparatus to be forced in order to com bat with existing conditions, and when a hot fire is maintained the danger is natnrally increased, particularly if the equipment is in any way defective. Care, however, will prevent trouble, hence we take occasion to sound this warning. . * v . Taxust >T«xMt Taxes!
