Dear Sir--With reference to your recent correspondence with this office, I have the honor to inform you that by January 1, 1913, funds from this de partment will be available for co-oper ation with the local organization of McHenry county in the employment of a county agent who will give his whole time to the improvement of agriculture within that county. If this is agreeable to you let us know at your earliest conven ience so that search may be instituted at once for a competent man to take charge of the work. In this respect this bureau requires that the agent employed be thoroly trained both in the science and the practice of agri culture, coupled with enthusiasm for his work and tact in organization and meeting men. If you have any one to suggest for the work inform us prompt ly so that their credentials may be looked up at once. Yours very truly, W. J. Sl'lLLMan. Agriculturist in Charge. .1.1. Lin^.
