In his haste for a double play Mann failed to touch first and as a result both runners were safe. Comiskey fanned and Grant went out on a high fool to the catcher. One hit, no runs. Fourth inning: Donald opened up this round with a sereanHng three- base hit to the tall and uncut in right field and came- home with the first tally of the day whsn Cross singled past first.
