Cornish returned to her home here Friday after spending a few weeks nursing near Hebron. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Yonke of Spring Grove spent one evening recently with their sister,: Mrs. Chas. Vogel. A telegram, was received by Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Turner from Grant Hill, saying he had arrived safely at Newport News,. Va., and expected to soon be home. He has made his home with Reuben Turner for the past several years.^ A surprise party was given Chas. Vogel last Saturday evenings at Turner hall in honor of his twentyfirst birthday. Leslie Francisco and John Mc- Broom went out in search of Leslie's gun that disappeared from the lumber shack. During their absence they found the gun and shells where they suspected. This is the second affair at the lumber shack in a short time. » News has been received here of the death of Mrs. Leona Brady, wife of George Brady, who lived on the F. B.
