Yanke was down from Sharon Sunday, Mrs. Yanke returning with him Monda^ morning. Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Barber and daughter of Chicago were calling on friends here Thursday last. R. M! Lynch spent Wednesday night and Thursday of last week with his sister at West^Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jacobs visited with their son, Earl, and family at St. Paul, Minn., several days recently. Mrs. Walser of Arlington Heights spent Saturday night and Sunday with her sister, Mrs. I. F. Burdick Misses Mildred Harvey, Hazel and Helen Baker and Mrs. Lola Bennett autoed to Woodstock Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Abbott and daughter, Dorothy, and R. Wallace were business callers at Genoa Monday. The members of the Ladies' club and their husbands enjoyed an outing at Grass Lake and the lotus beds Sunday. The remains of Mrs. Mayme Dygert, who passed away at her home in Woodstock Friday, were brought here for interment Sunday afternoon. RINGWOOD Miss Elynor Dodge is visiting her aunt in Park Ridge. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Rossing were Richmond callers Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Peet visited relatives in Richmond Sunday. Miss Ellen Hall is entertaining her niece from Manitowoc, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. F. H. McAssey of Richmond were in town one day last week. Miss Winifred Bradley is visiting friend^ in Milwaukee, Wis., this week. Mrs. Jennie Spaulding It visiting her son, C. E. Mr. and Mrs. Will Beck were pleasant callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Will McCannon Sunday afternoon. Leo Brunswick, S. W. Smith and E. J. Frost of Round Lake and Miss Mae Aylward spent Sunday in the E. M. Aylward home at Hebron. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rawson of Roscoe, 111., spent several days the past week in the Willis Gardner home. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Johonnott and son, Sheldon, and Lyman Johonnott of Chicago spent Sunday in the Wade Sanborn home. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Alms and children returned home from Wausau, Neb., Friday, after spending several weeks with relatives there. Misses Viola and Florence Aylward of Hebron and Miss Dorothy Barstow of Brooklyn, Mich., spent Tuesday at the home of the former's grandfather, Richard Aylward. OSTEND Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Prahl are entertaining a family from Chicago. A. C. Pierce and family were recent visitors at the lotus beds at Grass Lake. v Clyde Clark, wife and children spent last Sunday at Ringwood with Mrs. Clark's father. Donald Thompson came out from Chicago and is spending his vacation with relatives here. Miss Clara Lincoln returned to her home near Harvard Sunday, after spending several days with relatives here. Henry Hobart, wife and son, Roy, spent last Sunday with Mrs. Hobart's sister, Mrs. Julia Lincoln, near Harvard. Mrs. Libbie Ladd and Miss Agnei Bigelow of Ringwood spent last Friday afternoon with Mrs. Maude Clark. The threshing company is not half, done, while the %ne in west of Ostend has finished and gone into winter quarters. Mr. and Mrs. F. Silliman from south of Woodstock were Sunday guests of their daughter, Mrs. F. R. Eppel, and family. The Dorcas society of Greenwood met with Mrs. Oscar Anderson near the Ostend creamery last week Thursday afternoon. There were about thirty present. Vern Abbott, who has just turned from overseas, was a recent visitor at the home of his cousin, Mrs. Maude Clark, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Pierce. Frank Kaiser and wife and Mrs. Kaiser's, brother, John Harrer, a butcher, now at work in Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. Coogly from Woodstock were Sunday visitors at Joe Harrer's. H. N. Thompson and wife returned last week from their western trip. They spent several weeks visiting with relatives in Washington, Montana and Nebraska. In the last named state they visited Mrs. Thompson's parents. Her father has passed his ninety-fourth birthday, the mother being a few years younger. ' TERRA COTTA Mrs. Gus Lindahl was an visitor last Saturday. Mrs. Mary Grant spent Sunday with friends at Crystal Lake. Edward J. Knox of the Great Lak spent Sunday at his home here. Raymond J. Riley is now employed in a Terra Cotta factory in Indiana. Miss Frances Knox was a business caller in Crystal Lake last Thursday Miss Mary Riley of Chicago was the guest of relatives here last week Rev. E. A. Miss Ellen Doherty of McHenry called on her sister, Mrs. M. Knox, last Thursday evening. Miss Florence Knox was the guest of McHenry relatives from Tuesday until Sunday of last week. Miss Florence Portman of Chicago spent last week as the guest of her cousin, Miss Agnes Frisby. Mr. and Mrs. Merton Gracy and family of Honey Creek, Wis., spent Sunday with relatives here.
