They met at the home of Mrs. E. E. Whiting to surprise Mrs. Merchant. Six tables of bunco were played. Prizes awarded were: First to Mrs. Viola Low, second to Mrs. Carlson, third to Mrs. E. E. Thomas, and consolation to Mrs. C. D. Wihiting. Mirs. Merchant was presented with a gift in honor of her birthday anniversary. Mrs. S. D. Baldwin of Grayslake spent a few days in the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. E. Whiting. Mrs. Bruno Butler entertained on Wednesday evening, May 23, in honor of Mirs. Sayler Smith of Portland, Ore. Two tables of five hundred were played, with high scores going to Mrs. H. C. Hughes and Mr. Hitchens and low scores to Mrs. Hitchens and George Shepard. Guests included Mrs. Sayler Smith, Mrs. A. W. Smith, Mir. and Mrs. F. A. Hitchens, Mr. and Mirs. H. C. Hughes, and Mr. and Mrs. George Shepard. Mrs. Rilla Foss has returned from California, where she has been visiting with her sister. Edward Dunne, Jr., of Lake Geneva spent a few days with his grandmother, Mrs. Ellen Whiting. Mrs. K. E. Cristy has been on the sick list for the past week. The Ringwood baseball team has won two games lately. On Sunday, May 20, they won at Crystal Lake by a score of 13 to 6. May 27, the Union team met them here. This game was taken by a score of 7 to 1. Mrs. Herman Molidor of Libertyville and Mrs. Kirwan of Volo visited with relatives here Monday. John Sheehy's visited at H. M. Stephenson's on Sunday and Monday. Mrs. Rilla Foss and sons and Mrs. Frankie Stephenson motored to Waukegan Sunday. Miss Wynne Kelly spent Friday eve. ning in the L. B. Compton home at Woodstock. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carr and Mrs Frankie Stephenson spent Saturday afternoon at Woodstock. Mr. and Mrs. William Beck of Dundee called on E. E. Whiting, Saturday.
