July 8, 1895, for the purpose of transacting such business as might properly come before them. The meeting was called to order by chairman J. B, Gracy. . The following named supervisors an swered at roll call: Nahain, Brotzman, Wright, Beck, Axtel, (Jornue; Desmond, Richards, Stevens, Weltzein, Hoy, (Mark, Jones, McConnell, Wray, Crista, Gfacy, Thompson. Hoy the semi-an nual report of county treasurer and quarterly report of superintendent of schools were referred to proper com mittees. The report of grand jury of January term, A. D., 1895, wasread to the board, and on motion of Supervisor Hoy was ordered published with the proceedings of the board. To the Honorable Jud^ of the Circuit Court of McHenry County: The grand jury visited the county jail and inspected the court house and its surroundingf, and find them all in excellent sanitary condition. We would recommend that the court room of the court house be re- carpeted, as the old carpet is in a very bad condition and needs replacing. The repairs on thf jail seem adequate to pre vent further j-iil breaking, aud the sheriff is keeping the county buildings and their surroundings in a clean and highly com mendable condition. Report adopted. A. M. LKLAND, Foreman. C. A. LEMMERS, Clerk. Sup. Stevens moved that the board adjourn for committee work until Tues day morning at 10 o'clock. Carried. TUESDAY, JUI.Y 9TH.
