Mrs. Emil Feffer of Crystal Lake spent a few. days last week with friends here. iMB'jflNRY PEOPLE ATTEND COLE BB06L CIRCUS AT ELGIN _ Many frofe McHenry attended the , Cole Bros., eircus at Elgin last Friday j when features of the big show were Clyde Beatty, famous wiki animal trainer, and Ken Maynard, star of western movies. Beatty had perfect command of a ring full of snarling tigers and lions and proved his title of "America's foremost animial trainer of all time." Beatty also came in for her share of applause in introducing^ an elephant, lion and tiger in the same ring. Spectators also saw a woman trouper drive a sixteen horse hitch while astride the backs of two horses, saw the manouvers of twenty-four horses al balancing and acrobatic displays. There were sixty clowns and many other wonderful acts. ° Those who went to see the matinee performance were disappointed as the street parade was cancelled and the matinee delayed by the late arrival of the, railroad troupe of 1,048 people.
