Petition To the Board of Supervisors for McHenry County, Illinois: The undersigned commissioner of highways for the Town of Dunham in said County would respectfully represent that the bridge known as the Setters Bridge on the public highway that runs north and south along the west line of the south east quarter of the south east quarter of section 7 in said Town over Moaklers creek has failed due to high water, and a new bridge is necessary, for which work the Town of Dunham is responsible. That the cost of a new bridge of about 30 foot span will be $3300; that the population of said Town is less than 15000; that the cost of said bridge Is more than 4 cents on the one hundred dollars valuation on the latest assessment roll; and that the levy of road and bridge tax for two years last passed in said Town was in each year for the full amount allowed by law to be raised thereon for all road and bridge purposes, except for damages incurred in laying out, altering or vacating roads, or for ditches to drain roads, the whole of which levy is needed for the ordinary repair of roads and bridges in said Town. WHEREFORE* the said Commissioner of highways petitions your honorable Board to deem it expedient to build said bridge at the entire expense of said County, and that you appropriate from the County Treasury, a sufficient sum of money to meet the cost of said bridge, and that you direct the County Superintendent of Highways for said County, to prepare, plans and specifications for said improvement, all as provided by Article V section 34 of the road and bridge laws of Illinois. Illinois, on July 1st, 1987 with Notary Public, full membership prsseat together with Dr. B. F. Kennelly, County Veterinarian, and( Dr. Fletcher and took up the matter of the renewal of the Countv Veterinarian's Contract for the ensuing year. Your Committee would recommend that Dr. B. F. Kennelly be re-appointed County Veterinarian for McHenry County for the period beginning July 1st, A. D. 1937 and ending not later than June 30th, 1938 at the same salary that he has received during the past year including $25.00 per month expenses, and that upon his appointment he enter into contract with the Board of Supervisors to administer the tuberculin test in McHenry County, and that said salary and expense agreements be me.de a part of said contract. D. 1&37, by ahd between G. J. CarroH, C. M. Palmer and L. A. Stockj£ r and on behalf of the BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, of the County of McHenry and State of Illiiioi's, which is the party of the first part and Dr. B. F. Kennelly, party of the second part. WITNESSETH: THAT WHEREAS, The Board of Supervisors of the County of McHenry and State of Illinois, has heretofore appropriated a sum of money to be used in the suppression of tuberuclosis among dairy cattle of the County of McHenry under the direction of the said Board of Supervisors, andn. WHEREAS, the said Dr. B. F. Kennelly has been appointed County Veterinarian to administer the tuberculin tests, by McHenry County, and said appointment has been confirmed by the Department of Agriculture of the State of Illinois. This memoranda therefore wltnesseth that it is mutually agreed by and be tween the parties hereto that the party of the first part agree to employ the party of the second part for a term of beginning July 1, 1937, and ending not later than June 30, 1938, under the following express terms and conditions, that is to say: The party of the second part agrees to perform his services to the satisfaction of the above, mentioned committee representing the Board of- Supervisors of the said McHenry County for the salary of Sixteen hundred eighty/dollars ($1680.00) per annum, he to be governed by the direction of the Committee representing the Board of Supervisors as to the manner in which tuberculin tests are to be made, he will keep or cause to keep an accurate account with a card system of of all cattle tested by himself and by his assistants and to see that a proper annual report be furnished to the party of the first part. The party of the first part will issue to the party of the second part an order for a one-twelfth of the salary abov^ mentioned in consideration for such services at the end of each month. The party of the second part shall keep an accurate record of all reactors. The party of the second part is ten have charge of the buying of necessary ear tags for branding of cattle and also all other necessary supplies to carry on the said tests, party of the first part to pay the same. The party of the first part reserves the right to supervise and direct the services of the party of the second part so long as this contract is in force and effect and in case the services of the party of the second part are not ieatis-, factory to the parties of the first part, and upon a report of such dissatisfaction to the Board of Supervisors in session either at a regular or special meeting of said Board, and if said report of dissatisfaction is approved, this contract shsll be terminated and the services paid for proportionately up to the termination of said contract, it being understood that in case such report is ninde, party of the sfecond part shall have the right and opportunity to appear before the Board of Supervisors and make any explanation that he may deem necessary, in case the contingency herein mentioned shall occur. It is further understood and agreed that the party of the second part shall for the sum of Twenty-five, dollars ($25.00) per month to be paid monthly by the party of the first part furnish his own means of transportation in and about his work and the upkeM) of any automobile that he may use or pay for and other expenses of going to and from his employment.
