One couple, well known around this community, rejoiced, on their fifty-eighth anniversary. One Johnsburg couple marked their fifty-ftfth year of married life, while a Richmond couple boasted fifty- four years. Jan. 22--Mr. and Mrs. Henry Felmeten, Sr., celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage which occurred on Jan. 22, 1889 at Chicago. Two children, Henry Jr., and Cora, were born to this couple who now make their home on the East River road. Henry Felmeten is a native of Germany while his wife, the former Miss Dortha Keller, was of Beverly Hills, Chicago. May 6--Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Speaker of Richmond were married fifty-four years. Ten years after their marriage in 1885 at Lake Geneva, they came to Richmond and have resided there ever since. Seven children and sixteen grandchildren have resulted from this union. May 28---Mr. and Mrs. George P. Steilen, former residents of McHenry now making their home at Chicago, observed their golden wedding. They are the parents of a boy and a girl who have given them three grandchildren. July 26--Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Jungen have lived at their home one mile north of Johnsburg since their marriage ftfty-five years ago. July 28--Mr. and Mrs. John Havens were happy to announce the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage. They have lived on their farm north of McHenry for the past ten years. This happy couple was blessed with ten children. Oct. 20--Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Smith celebrated the golden anniversary of their married life. Mr. Smith has lived on his present farm home near Ringwood practically all of his life, while Mrs. Smith is a native of Kans- . Five children, three sons and two daughters were born of this union. Nov. 7 -- Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Freund, McHenry residents, were married half a century ago. The couple were practicing farming in the vicinity of Spring Grove and McHeiiry until about a year ago. Both are natives of this part of the country. Ten of their eleven children survive. Nov. 28--Mr. and Mrs. James T. Sorenson of Racine, Wis., celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. The couple was married by the Rev. James Conley at the Community Methodist church in this city. Of the ten children bom of this union, six survive; there are also twenty-one grandchldren and two great-grandchildren. Dec. 25--On Christmas day, Mr. and Mrs. D. N.
