The officers for the year 1940-41 corner is a stove to take the chill off during weather such as we've been having lately. The kitchen is most modern with gas range, running water, refrigerator, cupboards lining the walls and several drawers. All the utensils are ready for use, even an egg beater. The upstairs apartment is considerably larger, with two porches, one open and one screened, a living room, dining room, more closet space and larger bathroom and kitchen. While the rent for these places is rather high, it is justifiable considering the prices people are forced to pay for quarters which haven't half this much to offer. The gas, electricity and water are furnished; likewise is the bedding and linen. Mr. Goettsche is the head of a company in Chicago which employs certified public accountants. At present, he spends his weekends at his home along the river, but in June, his family will move here for the entire summer.
