A very colorful and hnpreaaive setting was made for the graduates as the crowning of the Blessed Virgin and May Devotions preceded the distribution of diplomas. The children of the entire school entered the church led by servers. The boys were in dark suits, while the girls wore pure white, some aa "angels" in long white gowns and others with veils. Tiny girls in pastel colors placed huge baskets of flowers before "the Blessed Virgin at the high altar. A wreath of flowers on a white satin pillow was taken to the high altar by two little girls in pink and blue. As the children gathered around the statue of the Blessed Virgin singing songs, the May Queen placed the wreath, crowning Our Lady as Queen of the May.
