Loee to Harvard The old "Chirsmtas Spirit" prevailed at Woodstock last night as Harvard accepted a victory from McHenry. TTie highly-touted McHenry five did not show any resemblance to the team that won eight straight games before the tournament opened. Oh yes, the score . . . Harvard 48, McHenry 28. Harvard showed a scrappy team that was quick to take advantage of their opponent's mistakes. The Hornemen gave away a lot of height but made up for it with alertness and determination. Captain McDonald led his team to victory. The one bright spot for McHenry was the great playing of Dick Conway. When the rest of the team has an "off-night,'* Diik is in there holding the boys together. He was really brilliant even in defeat. Hebron won their way to the finals by beating the scrappy Marengo team by a score of 31 - 18. The score was tied seven-all at the half. Judson's twenty-six points was high for the evening. Outstanding fpr Marengo was Bob Buell who controls the team from his guard position. Tonight McHenry meets Marengo at 7 :SD and Hebron tangles with Harvard at 8:30 for tKe championship. League bowling dropped off during the holiday weak so we are giving yon only the high series and high games turned in. Schaefer's report that their K. of C. league schedule was also postponed last week in order to give the boys s chance to attend the Atl-Stsr Alumni basketball game. -- Palaee -- C.O.F.... "•'£ H. M.
