Schmid, of Harvard, Illinois, as examiner of the blind for McHenry County. Supr. Harrison offered the following amendment to the report of the committee on Relief of the Blind. "That Dr. T. F. Forrest of W<fodstock, IllinoiK, be appointed Kxaminor of the Blind'1 and moved its adoptiton. Said motion tO adopt the amendment to the report Was duly seconded by Supr. Kuecker and upon roll call was declared not carried by a vote of 7 for the amendment and 10 against the amendment and one supervisor not voting. It was thereupon regularly moved by Supr. Beck and duly seconded by Supr. Witt' mus that the report of the Committee o« Relief of Blind be adopted and that Dr. H. J. Schmid of Harvard, Illinois, D» appointed County Examiner of the Blind, and the roll being called, the Chairman declared the motion carried and Dr. H. J. Schmid of Harvard, Illinois appointed Examiner of the Blind of McHenry County. Supr. Clawson, Chairman of tfe* Purchasing Committee, stated that the Question of the purchase of coal for McHenry County was brought to his attention and wondered what action the ward wanted to take upon it. It was thereupon regularly moved by Supr. Klip and duly seconded by Supr Ferris that the purchase of coal for the McHenry County Court House and Jail bo referred to the Purchasing Committee, Slving said committee full power to act, and the roll being called, the Chair- Man declared the motion unanimously The Chairman stated that If there yas no further business to come hi- •ore this meeting, he would entertain * motion to adjourn. Supt. of Schools, for an additional amount to be paid out of her appropriation for expenses and your committee, after having duly considered said request, would recommend that she be allowed $30.00 a month for the months of July, and August and $40.00 a month for the months of September, October and November, making an additional amount of $00.00 over and above the amount previously allowed. Asst. Supr. Rosenthal addressed the Board and stated that he was very much in favor of an increase in salary for the Probation Officer of the County Court for the reason that he felt that she was doing exceptionally good work and had saved the County quite a bit of money, but that he did not believe that It was good practicee to allow the said Probation Officer a lump sum for back expenses. A general discussion was then haa with regard to said matter. Asst. Supr. The Committee on Eradication of Tuberculosis In Cattle made a recommendation for the re-appolntment of B. F. Konnelly as COunty Veterinarian for McHenry County to administer the tuberculin test for the year beginning July 1, 1941 and ending not later than Jphe 30, 1942 and presented the followrtg oontract and agreement, to-wlt: THI8 MEMORANDA OP AGRSBMENT, made and entered into on the 12th dny of August, A. D. 1941, by and between L. A. Stockwell, Carl E. Wlttmus and Frank May for and on behalf of the Board of Supervisors of the County of McHenry and State of Illinois, which Is the party of tho first part and Dr. B. F. Kennelty, party of the second part. WITfNKSSKTH: THAT {WHEREAS, The Board of Supervisors of the County of McHenry and State of Illinois, haa heretofore appropriated a sum of money to be used in the suppression of tuberculosis among dairy cattle of the Cunty of McHenry under the direction of said Board of Supervisors, and WHEREAS, the said Dr. B. F. This memoranda therefore wltnesseth that it is mutually agreed by and between the parties hereto that the party of he first part agreed to employ the party of the second part for a term of one year beginning July 1, 1941, and ending not later than June SO, 1942, under the following express terms and conditions, that is to say: The party of the second part agreOs to perform his services to ths satisfaction of the above mentioned commlttaa representing the Board of Supervisors of the said McHenry County for the salary of Sixteen Hundred Eighty> Dollars (1,680.00) per annum, no to IM governed by the direction of the Committee representing the Board of Supervisors as to tne manner in which tuberculin tests are to be made, he will keep or cause to keep an accurate account with a card system of all cattle tested by himself and by his assistantst and to see that a propor annual report be furnished to the party of the first part. The party of the first part will issue to the party of the second part an order for a one-twelfth of the salary above mentioned in consideration for such services at the end of each month. The party of the second part shall keep an accurate record of all reactors and the party of the second part is to have charge of buying of necessary ear tags for branding of cattle and also all other necessary supplies to carry on the said tests, party of tho first part to pay for same. The party of tho first part reserves the right to supervise and direct the services of the party of the second part so long as this contract 1^ in force and effect and In case the services of the party of the second part are not satisfactory to the parties of the first part, and upon a report of such dissatisfaction to the Board of Supervisors n session either at a regular or special meeting of said Board, and If said report of dissatisfaction is approved, this contract shall be terminated and the services paid for proportionately up to the termination of said contract, it being understood that in case such report is made, party of the second part xhall have the right and opportunity to 'ippear before the Board of Supervisors :<nd make any explanation that he may deem necessary, in case the contingency herein mentioned shall occur. It is further understood and Agreed that the party of the second part shall for the sum of Twertty-fiive dollars ($25.00) per_month to be paid monthly by the party of the first part furnish his own means of transportation in and about his work and the upkeep of any automobile that he may use or pay for and other expenses of going to and :rom his employment. ~ it is further understood and agreed that the party of the second part shall give the party of the first part sixty days notice of termination of employment and that the party of the first part shall give the party of the second part sixty days notice of dismissal.
