Ackman, Chairman of the Road and Bridge .Committee, st'atfd that it was his opininon that the matter should be thoroughly investigated and that if they are 'allowed to connect to said sewer, they should be will ing to pay for some of the cost of the installation of said sewgr. Harrison stated that in his opinion it would be asking too much of the State's Attorney for tile reason that due to the legal requirements to bring a suit, it would take up practically all of his time for the next year and that it was his opinion that if suits were brought, a special State's Attorney should l/e hired to have charge of the legal end of said suits. That we met at Woodstock, Illinois, on the 15th day of September, 1943. to receive bids for-a prime coat of asphalt on the road leading north out of Ridgerield, Illinois. After this job had been advertised for bids the priorities on asphalt were .lifted and we decided that there was a chance to build a full 3 inch thickness road as originally planned. So we decided to reject all bids and returned them unopened to the bidders and advertised the work for bids to be received September 27th, 1943, for a 3 inch thickn'ess asphalt road. We met on Sept. 20th and 23rd and inspected gravel pits in the vicinity of the road being built north of Greeijwood known as section 31 M. F.. Ti The pits examined were the Twomloy pit, Okeson pit and Hanson pits. We arranged to get the necessary barrow or filling mar' terial at the Carl Okeson pit, about 1 mile west of the road1 under construct ioil at' 1 <> cents per cu. yard. We ordered test holes' dug at the different pit Kite's.
