McCuIlom Lake's lettuce man, i George Baumbeck, and his truck load of lumber donated for the oci casion by McHenry's "Just for Fun" ' skating rink, led the parade, followed bv no less than twenty of the Screwy , Dozen's best appeared on the scene and in three hours flat the stage was i set for the much heralded "Atomic ; Bust." Electrician Lee Stewdo and i Ed Walton, in charge oi the conj struction work, kept their crews {jumping every minute of those three hours. Barney Graff was assigned 1 to the job of chief tonsil lubricator. He, too, did his job well. | At 8 'u.m., Otto Pyritz rang the huge bell provided by Roy and Al of j Roy-Al Inn and things began to happen. The many prizes donated by the merchants of McHenry and McCuIlom Lake made a very attractive display. Frank Holmes of McHenry went home with enough weiners that if laid end to end would reach from McCuIlom Lake to Johnsburg. At 10:30 the Screwy Dozen entertained the crowds with a gigantic floor show, starring Screwettes and those two screwballs, Jensen and Baumbeck, whose hilarious acts kept the folks in stitches. Mrs. Goehke had been confined to her bed at the above hospital for the past month suffering with a blood infection. Our deepest sympathy to the Goehke family. The new daughters name will be Judy Carrol. Mrs. John Fox, wife of Major John Fox of the Army Air Corps, now stationed in Munich, Germany, will join her husband abroad within the next month. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. tferniece Brown, two sons, Roy Allen and Donald, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Margreth, and a sister, Miss Phoebe Brown. Last Saturday night was a gay one at the Bill Rocnelles. The occasion was a dual birthday celebration. It was Bill's 93rd and Helge Davidson's 103rd.
