This was brought about by the kindness of the matron, Mrs. Gladys Ehlerding, her assistants and their mafey friends. A eheery greeting to the visitor irks shown in the colored bulbs in the lantern posts at the entrance *to the drive. A beautiful wreath hung on the door. On entering the door a beautiful Christmas tree was beheld and bright poinsettas decorated the rqoms ajid halls. % , Festivities began on Bunday eve* )pfag, Dee. 19, when- a group of eighteen young folks, members vf the Youth Fellowship of the Ringwood church, arrived and sang Chistmas carols. They were accompanied by Bev. Stevens. Ou Thursday evening, Dec. 23, "The Christmas Story" in technicolor was shown and narrated by liev. Viuihg of the (Community ehrirch of Richmond. On Christmas Eve those who were able to be about gathered around the Christmas tree, sang enrols and had a gift exchange. O j Christmas Day all enjoyed a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The poinsettia plants were many and beautiful, their erimson color adding a cheery note. Those who remembered with poinsetta plants were Theron Ehorn, who also brought a basket of flowers, the Bichmond Community chrurch, the Bichmond Lutheran church, the B. N. A. Camp of Richmond, Mrs. Mac Dongal, the Lotus Ladies club, t&e Bichmond Legion Auxiliary and the Hoffman family. The B. F. D. Auxiliary remembered one of their members with a large box of fruit, which was enjoyed by all. Each resident received on attractive little basket of fruit from the matron. Many friends called- bringing fruit, cookies, candies and sweets of all kinds. The residents were „very anxious that an account of their festivities appear in the papers of the communities so that their friends would know of the many kindnesses shown them. The holiday visitors were fliany. If one would like to enjoy the feeling of making someone really happy, just call on the residents and see how grateful they are -for a friendly little chat. . V. S.
