P. E. B. S. Q,-( S. A. Those imposing initials stand for the "Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing In America." A briefer title is the "Barber Shoppers". The aim of the organization 4s to "Keep America Singing". The Woodstock chapter won its charter by giving the musical program last January when the Hospital Auxiliary presented John Strom's colqred pictures taken by him while he traveled in Russia. Rehearsals are well under way for the fall show to be held at the Woodstock high school the evenings of Nov. 11 and 12. "Swing Along" was written and arranged by Harry Abraham. Harold Beth, Carl Braukhoff, Mr. H. W. De- Wolf, Ed Cardiff and Guenther Wenk. There are fifty members of the cast and chorus. Some of the best men's voices in McHenry County are in the cast. It is not ncessary to be a "Barber Shopper" to be in the show.
