Hundreds of silver bass have been taken from the waters of Griswold Lake by local anglers during the past two weeks. Large catches of bass, pickerel and pike are also every day occurrences on the Fox River. James L. Conway,, the Rfngwood well driller, recently completed a flowing well in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Smith. This is the first well of its kind ever constructed in--a home in McHenry and the water is A No. 1. It is not at all improbable that a series of Lyceum entertainments will be held in McHenry the coming winter. A canvass is now being made by those interested, with the result that over 150 season tickets have been spoken for. The series, if arranged for, will contain six entertainments each and every one of the highest class. On Wednesday morning at St. Theresa's church, Chicago, occurred the wedding of Mrs. Susie Smith of this place and Mr. James Revor of Minnesota. The bridal pair were attended by Mr. and iMrs. W. G. Schreiaer of this place. Twenty-Five Years Age Mrs. Barbara Schiessle, a highly esteemed and long time resident of this city, passed away at her late home here last Thursday after an illness of several months* duration. Surviving are three children. Mrs. William Mead of Raymondsville, Tex., Miss Clara Schiesslc and Mrs. Peter H. Weber of this city. Clarence Eddy, one of the world's greatest organists, will appear at St. Mary's church Sunday evening, June 21, when he will givtf one of the recitals which has brought him great fame both in this country and in Europe.
