Mr. and Mrs. George Shepard spent Sunday in the Alan Atager home at Hebron. Mr. and Mrs. F. Nottoli of Fox Lake, Mr. and Mrs. J. Cornelia of Woodstock and Mr. and "Mrs. G. Izard and. sons of Crystal Lake spent Sunday in the Wm. Pagni home. M"- Success! We do thank all the good people who helped to make our first vacation school a success. We praise God for you all. There were 87 children enrolled and 75 was the highest total for one day. The children gave over $25 to send Bibles to Japan. The teachers and helpers, besides yours truly, were: Jean Brooks, Mrs. Dresdow, Dick Ekeroth, Annette Glauser, Mrs. Glauser, Mrs. Guffo, Mrs. Hansen, Pat Kelley, Mrs. Liberty, Mrs. Meyer, Marilyn Pearsbn, Sharon Sells and Mrs. Voss. Through the kindness of Mrs. Guffo, everyone had pop and fee cream at the picnic. Thanks to Robert Brooks for seeing that we had chairs for the closing program. For all who contributed towards the cost of the school we pray, "God bless you." Tl}e drowning occurred when the youngster wondered away from the yard at the rear of the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Leatha Roudebush, where the Hawkins family had been enjoying a visit. Mrs. Hawkins was in the yard hanging up clothes and the child was at play nearby.
