They frequently have interesting speakers and now and then a good musical program. This organisation is popular f with the women of McHenry and the meetings are usually very well attended. One of the very interesting and unusual features of the club meetings these last two years nas been a series of readings given by Mrs. Milton Smith. Her subject has always been on some phase of nature. She has written and read some very fine papers on flowers and insects and plans In the future to Include the earth's small creatures such , as moles, etc. The lecture she gave on the multiflora rose was appreciated by all those who heard it, and some of the members made practical use of the information gained through Mrs. Smith's lecture. She has talked interestingly on the subject of daddy longlegs, that common and well-known member of the spider family. Moths have Interested Mrs. Smith very much and she has transferred this curiosity to her audience through her talks. It requires a great deal of research and study in this field to be able to hold the attention of the audience and Mrs./Smith deserves commendation for the effort she DESTROY • WITH ' 4 NEW MIRACLE KILLERS / d-CON with LUREX GUARANTEED TO RID YOUR PLACE OF RATS IN 15 DAYS.
