GERALD LARKIN A very beautiful wedding was solemnized at St. Mary's church o'clock last Saturday morning; June 2, when Miss Joan Durland, daughter of Mrs. Harry Dryland, became the bride of Sr. Gerald Larkin, son of Mrs. James B. The^ children"* choir sang. the Mass and Earl tjbtoway was soloist, singing "Ave Maria" and "On This Day 0 Beautiful Mother" as th^,bride placed her bouquet on the Blessed Virgin's altara Miss Durland was charming in a white embroidered organdy dress, styled with high neckline and small buttons extending down to the waist. She wore a train and a short veil, the latter caught by a Juliet cap with eyelet trim. Her old fashioned bouquet consisted of stephanotis and a white orchid. tfrs. The bridegroom is a 1940 graduate of the local school and attended the University of Illinois for three years before entering Navy service, where he served as an ensign.
