A total of $95 was turned over to the treasurer, Henry Hoppert. The committee certainly did a wonderful job. Mrs. Hoppert, Jean Booster and Lue Bitterman would like to thank all the women who donated so generously to the sale aofialso those who came and purchased the goods. The Wrublewskis were gone for eight months instead of eight weeks. It makes a big difference, doesn't it Quite a few people had birthdays this past week. Bobby Bittc^ tian celebrated his seventh birthday on May 12. Buddy Kennerck celebrated his birthday on May 13. Marilyn Kiehl celebrated her birthday on May 11 with a party for her little friends. Diana Fritzsche, and her little sister "Debbie", Nancy Erhrardt and Cheryl Lynn Wojtas were among her guests. That stork seems to be making regular deliveries to Lakemoor these days, with a new bundle almost every week. He visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roswell Smith on May 6 and left a bouncing baby boy. The new heir has been named Glenn Forrest Smith and tipped the scales at 6 lbs. 10 os. His "Big" sister, Karen Lynn, was waiting at home to, welcome him to the household. Wayne Kraus has returned to the El Toro radio operators', school at Santa Anna, Calif., after a short furlough at home. His letters to his mother are full of glowing reports of conditions at this base. Danny Kennerck was among those making their First Holy Communion at St. Mary's church last Sunday. Afterwards, a family dinner was held at the Kennerck home for the family members. Maude Tolle, a great aunt, and Joseph Hart, an uncle of Danny's from Chicago, were present as was George Pashon, also of Chicago.
