MARIE MILBRANDT CHAIRMAN WONDER LAKE DOUGHNUT DAY Mrs. Marie' Milbrandt, Wonder Lake, will serve as Wonder Lake chairman for the Salvation Army's annual Doughnut Day on Friday, June 13. The appointment was announced by Mrs. Joseph F. Ross, Glencoe, county chairman of Lake and McHenry counties. As chairman of Wonder Lake, Mrs. Milbrandt will direct the tagging activities of the local volun-i teers who will assist in raising funds for the many social services The Salvation Army offers to the needy and distressed. Mrs. Milbrandt urged Wonder Lake women to volunteer only a few hours of their time to sell tags on June 13. "In Wonder Lake as in all communities outside of Cook county, 20 per cent of the funds raised in the local Doughnut Day drive will remain with the Wonder Lake resident serving' as local treasurer for the Salvation Army," Mrs. Ross explained. "This money will be available for local projects such as giving clothing to needy school children, providing the proper medical, optical and dental ^care, and assisting distressed families.
