They said he'd be all right as soon as he had some plasma. But there jvasn't any. It was all gone. My OTOther died. Who killed him? I'm kind of bitter about it because if one more person back home had given some blood, may- --be there'd have i*een one more dose of plasma upp there behind the lines, and if there had been, my brother would be alive . . . and maybe home by now. That's a real gift. It's a gift of a life. It's something that can't be made on an assembly line. It's something that money can't buy. ; "How come all those healthy people, full of good blood, are going around, holding onto it like that one lousy little pint would '46 'em any good , That's all the Red Cross asks them for. Just a pint. My brother ^Sgave his blood -- all of it. Fontana beach is fortunate this summer in having Miss Florence Lacy of McHenry as instructor for the Red Cross swimming program. More than ever before, local residents are grateful for the Red Cross swimming course which is teaching almost 200 young folks from this community safety It the wate£~* A number of them were present last Sunday when the little Ohio girl lost her life in the Fox river.
