The Lily Lake Beautifying club held their feather party last Saturday night at Wally's, and the place was packed with people. It is reported that it was one of the most successful affairs ever given by the club in recent years. The club officers are very thankful to all those " who helped make it such a success. Since the village president has requested the clubs to continue snow removal this winter again, and the upkeep of the roads is still for the most part ttp to the clubs this year, the Money will certainly be needed. Hoehler, state welfare director. However, it is becoming htfr3§l* to make such shifts because of higher maintenance costs and the ; unwillingness of some relatives to accept responsibility for pat* ients, Hoehler said. Patient population in the 13 mental hospitals was slightly more than 47,000 on Aug. 31, an increase of about 675 as compared to a year earlier. Temporary construction and a greater turnover •af patients are being considered as ways of providing more space in these hospitals, Hoehler added.
