Legion Dance Saturday The American Legion post of Wonder Lake is sponsoring a "Goqd Neighbor" dance Saturday flight, Dec. 6, .starting at 10 p.m. Admission to this dance is by ah article of canned goods or other items of food suitable for Christmas baskets to be distributed to the needy. >The Legion will have a Christmas party Sunday. Home For Holiday Mr. and , Mrs. Don Wilkins were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sells, her parents, over the Thanksgiving holiday. Others present at the Thanksgiving dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tretow, Crystal Lake, and Mrs. Hazel Redfield, Chicago. Visitors during the day included Nancy Siemon and her sister, Sally; Mary Ann Bolger ' ' Serves Bride -- Miss Mary Boldt, daughter of the Charles Boldts, Indian Ridge, was bridesmaid for her classmate, Jean Schmitt, Saturday in St. Mary's church, McHenry. Building New Home Mr. and Mrs. Walter Troxell, who reside at the Cristy turn on the school blacktop, are building a new home on Rt. 173, near where his place of business is located. The new officers will be in- Serviceman And Wife Home On Leave Pvt. David P. Seaholm and Ms wife have been spending the former's fifteen-day leave at th# home of Mrs. Seahclm's mother, Mrs. Frank B. Wilkinson. Mrs. Seaholm will reside with her mother and family when Pvt. Seaholm leaves for Austria. Couple Observes 46th Anniversary ' Congratulations to Mlj. *p*d Mrs. George"" Unwin of^Maple Drive, who celebrated their forty-sixth wedding anniversary on Nov. 23. They entertained a group of friends at their home. Chwpri Church NflW" John Christoffersen, a pioneer in the work here at the Gospel church, departed from this life after a long illness, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jensen, in Chicago, on Monday evening, Nov. 24, at the a£e of 76 years and 2 months. His wife proceeded him in death last June. They loved Wonder. Lake and their pretty little home in Indian Ridge.. And they loved the Lord and His work here at the Gospel Church, serving faithfully in different capacities. We bles3 .their memory. The pastor assisted in the funeral service held on Friday, Nov. 28, bringing a brief message at the chapel. Our service next Sunday, Dec. 7th. will be at the usual hours: Sunday Bible School at 10 a.m„ Morning Worship service at 11; Evening Evangel with Communion service at 7:45 p.m. We also conduct our monthly Gospel service at the Christian Haven in the afternoon at 3 o'clock.
