This unique enterprise Is the only one of its kind in dends in happiness for the veterans. The result is many-fold. The men are helped toward rehabilitation.^ The making of the articles is often of gTeat therapeutic value and the few dollars in their pockets dees a great deal toward restoring their pride in t h e i r own work. The The greatest Value is, of course, to their morale. They know they are not forgotten by those ^of u3 who are so much more fortunate than they. Mrs. Downs has a permanent display cabinet at the Legion home on Green street and invites us all to do at least a part cf e rtuns the United States. The 919 American Legion Auxiliary units in Illinois assume the expenses incurred by the shipping and handling of these items. The expense cf operating the exchange is also borne by the Auxiliary.
