Katie Harrison, chaplain, serenly read the prayer, invoking the Father's blessing upon those about to take office that their footsteps may be directed in ways laid in the foundation of the Order and their acts reflect honor upon His Holy Name. Herbert Howorka, past patron, held the dignified post of color bearer. David and Donald Harrison recited the ode to the f l a g . N a n c y H u m p h r e y w a s soloist. Elsie Hoppe, mistress of ceremonies, with attractive platform grace, waxed poetic as she performed her duties and won smiles of approval and well earned applause. Edith Harrison, with grace and poise known to members and her many friends, acknowledged the honors bestowed upon her in the election to worthy matron and assured her audience of her full intentions to fulfilling the obligations just placed upon her. Ray Horenberger expressed his keen interest in the order and a desire to serve well with helpful guidance from past officers and others.
