On the evening of April 21 the lady Foresters of St. Agatha's held their annual banquet at Hettermann's tavern. A delicious chicken dinner was served td seventy-three women and Father Blitsch of St. John's church. The next Community je$|t meeting will be held in tlie club hall on Mbnday evening, May 4. Jerry Hettermann was happy to have as his visitors' An Sunday afternoon, Carl Walker of Lake Geneva, Wis., and Jerry Larose of Grand Forks, So. Dakota. Mr. Walker and Mr. Larose were both Army buddies of Jerry. Due to the bad weather on Sunday, the game between the Tigers and Shamrocks was unable to be played. The first game of the season will be played next Sunday at Johnsburg. Spring Grove will be the first opponents ft& the^Johnsburg Tigers. M. c. h. s. Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Smith of New Munster. The Johnsburg Community Club held grand opening in the new hall for the three days. "On Friday evening a fish dinner was served. to almost 400 persons, while on Saturday evening a big dance was in full swing. Many persons enjoyed flftTwinp to the fine music Of BUI Moore's orchestra. Sunday evening open house was held. Many people turned out to inspect the fine structure. Enough can't be said for all the wonderful men and women who donated their time and effort to make this grand -opening fact a huge success. Fifteen contestants were entered. If Carl had won he would have been eligible for the finals, in .vhich the winner receives $2500. To make up for it, though, he appeared on the TV show "What's' the Answer" and won. Competing against J throe other students, Carl answered all but two questions.
