The winner will advance to represent McHenry County in the state championship play * With the state winners competing for the national championship. The drawings are as follows; Crystal Lake vs. McHenry, June 7th, 1 P.M. Harvard, vs. Hebron, J Awe 7th, 3 P.M. Winner of Game 1 vs. Woodstock, June 14th, 1 P.M. The game went into two extra inninga b&fati the champs put across two runs to break a 7-7 tic that stood at the end of the regulation 7 innings, The following players were in the lineup for the final game: Junior High -- Ritzert, Baker, Olson, Cepulis, Smith, Mc- Cabe, Useman, Barber and Houck. MARY'S SCHOOL BAND SADIES' GOLF The ladies opened their golf season at the McHenry Country club last Tuesday, May 19, when Julius Goifo, pro at the Chapel Hill club, was present to give instructions from 9 to 10 a.m. The ladies enthusiastically took advantage of the instruction. Winners were Gertrude Jessup, 1; Mrs. Rose Auska, 2; and Lavern Hanley, 3. On Saturday evening a spring dance was held at the club, with forty-five couples in attendance. Music was by George Freund'. orchestra. «* On May 26, twenty-three were present to enjoy the second Tuesday of golf. The city of McHenry recently engaged a policeman to take charge of parking meter violations. This keeps him busy all day. Rain made the field impossible for a ball game. Next Sunday the Shamrock's travel to Algonquin with hopes of playing their second league = • game. At present their standing is one victory and no defeats. In the league opener the ,4 Shamrock's beat Crystal Lake * by the score of 4 to 0. Although *; to three hits in this game, they managed to score four runs. Eight walks off of two Crystal Lake pitchers and hits by Weber and J. Molidor at the right time scored three runs.
