REHABILITATION CHIEF Governor William G. Stratton has appointed Alfred Slicer of Chicago as chief of rehabilitation for the Illinois Department of Pubic Welfare. Slicer has been rehabilitation co-ordinator at the Chicago Tuberculosis Sanitarium. The governor's action is the first move in a plan to bring into common action the efforts of the public and private agencies which are trying to help discharged patients from mental hospitals gain a useful footing in the outside world.
