The tickets tor the feather party the auxiliary is sponsoring in November fpr a Christmas party for the ,* children in the community are out on sale. No plans for affairs fbr the immediate future were discussed. A social followed the meeting and coffee and cake was served. The auxiliary welcomed in three new members: Mrs. Sarley, Mrs. Greve and Mrs. Balleau. Hostesses for the evening were Erna Hoppert, Helen Harder, Marcella Qoss and ABce r---decker. -- A lovely stork shower was given in honor of Mrs. Donald # liberty at Mrs. Cartan's home la Lfkemoor last Wednesday evening. On Sunday, Les and Vivian drove Mrs. Allen home. Congratulations, though belated. to Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Saynew addition to the Saynor family weighed in at 7 lbs. 11 oz., and has been named Joel Keith. Jack and Florence Quinn were visitors at the Les Vineer home in Lakemoor last Friday. Belated birthday greetings to Les Vineer and Lu Bitterman, who both celebrated their birthdays last week. May you both have many more. Mrs. Loretta Murphy Of Palatine. sister of Arthur Levand of Lakemoor, was a visitor at the Levand home last week. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lindenau and children of Chicago were guests a the Levand home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Anderson of Lakemoor visited their daughter. Mary Frances, in Dixon over the past weekend. Mary Frances is coming along fine. Work on the beaches is in progress and I must say that it looks just grand. The Business Men's association of Lakemoor has appropriated $500 and the Volunteer Firemen's association $250 toward the extending of the large beach, 150 feet east, lake front and parking lot at 3. McCulf om Lake News Thursday* October 1,1953 V Eve Levesque Cullom-Knoll Meeting There will be a meeting of the Cullom-KnOll association on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 4 p.m. at the beach house. This meeting is specifically for officers and trustees but the public is also invited to attend. It would be mucn appreciated if all those members who are delinquent with their dues would attend this meeting and pay up. It cannot be stressed too strongly how desparately the funds are needed if we are to maintain the appearance and comfort of our community. We hear that the new entertainment committee, under the able direction of Paul Struck and Otto Pyritz, is busy with plans for a great deal of merriment and fun this winter. Tragedy Strikes - ^ Our . deepest sympathy is extended to the Henry Dyko family of Spring Road on the death of their son, Dr. William Dyko of Chicago, who until the time of his passing had been on the staff at Alexian Brothers and St. Joseph's hospitals. His untimely death was due to a heart attack which occurred last Friday night. Dr .Dyko had been a visitor out here last Wednesday and had admired the lovely garden work done by his parents. He was laid to rest on Monday Dr. Dyko is survived by his widow, Gertrude; one son, Charles; his parents; one brother anff one sister. returned home from ^Memorial hospital, Woodstock, last week and is much improved. We missed Theresa on the local scene and it is good to have her back with us. Mrs. Evelyn -Steinbach required hospitalization last week. In some way her finger became badly infected and Dr. Lee Gladstone ordered her to Memorial hospital in Woodstock for treatment.- .
