Last Thursday, this aging servant was gently put to sleep. His masters couldn't take him with them and he was too old to make friends with the new owners. Somehow his going leaves an empty void in our hearts. We can only say, "Well done, thou Jftd faithful friend!f i» ; ; " Milwaukee Tttp '*:<?*>- Lil and Lee Sawdo, together with Barbara and Ken, spent an enjoyable Sunday in Milwaukee visiting with relatives. How About A Card? For Mrs. Grace Walton, whc hasn't been feeling as chipper as tier usual self. A card or note from her many friends would do much to cheer her up and help her get better. We're thinking of you "and wishing you a speedy recovery, Grace. His Name Was Roger A familiar sight and sound he ®wfcs to all who passed the Roy- A1 Inn. She was presented at the font of St. Gertrude's church by her godmother, Mrs. Gloria Dennis, and her godfather, Robert Sales. A christening party was held later at Jean and Jack Sales' home for the family and friends. He stepped up to the set and turned it on -- nothing happened. s Several voices hinted thtt it might be advisable to- pluff in the set. ; . ,T "Naw, it's plugged W was the droll reply. 'Til gf' JtWl Repairman." ' • >r. He answered the very urgent summons, stepped dramatically up to the TV set, put the plug in the usual place in the wall socket and the game was onL heedless to say, the razzing has become, "tawthev. wearisome." Injured In Fall A hot so graceful landing wns executed by that cute little miss. Elaine Vycital, when she tried! to defy the law Of gravity last week. She was employing that "Look, Ma. no • hands" routine while standing on Pat Kuhn's bike. Alas,, the bike gave way and Elaine is now, trying to look graceful on a pair of crutches. A fractured heel bone will cause her some discomfort in the weeks to come. Better use a net j next time, Elaine. Report* Of Vandalism The Chester H el wigs are indignant at the treatment being given their little dog by the school children passing their yard where the little animal is safely penned in. Seems as though they delight In throwing rocks at the friendly little pup which could seriously Injure him. Perhaps the parents' of the children who walk down Hickory Drive toward the b'.n Stop would ask them to refrain. The dog is safely penned in, the children are not!! * Mr. and Mrs. Walter Patzke, who live on Fountain Lane just beycfrJ the Hickory Drive inteisection, were very much upset to discover that rocks and other missiles had be^n huilec" thiough their windows causing considerable damage to their property, while they were not home. Such wanton destruction must not and will not be tolerated. It's up to the parents to instruct their children to respiect the rights of others.
