Freund and Ralph and Irma Freund of McHemy. The change granted the request of the petitioners for a zoning change. The board came to its decision after Judge William M. Carroll, in circuit court in October, reversed the original decision of the board which denied the re quest. ' - The matter involves a 100- acre farm located three miles east of McHenry, just north of R t . 1 2 0 . R e c l a s s i f i c a t i o n was asked for the purpose of mining and removing gravel from it. .Objectors, including a number of people who reside in the vicinity, claimed it would decrease the value of their property because of the dust and noise coming from the machinery used. CUB SCOUTS THANK YOU I would like to thank friends who sent me cards and flowers and who visited me during the time I was confined to Presbyterian hospital with a broken arm. Their kindnesses were appreciated so much. CUB SCOUTS MEN 1 (Lake moor) PACK 361 Just a last minute reminder to all Cubs and their parents that there is a pack meeting tomorrow (Friday) at the American Legion Home at 7:30 p.m. sharp. The rifle squad of Post 491, American Legion, of McHenry will demonstrate the correct procedure of presenting and retiring the colors and also give a brief outline of flag etiquette which is a Cub Must (and that of each and every citizen). A fine program is scheduled for the evening which will include a carnival put on by all Cubs of the Pack. . There are four dens in the pack, Den 2, Den 4, Den 7 and Den 8, and Den 7 has what would normally be called two dens. It was advised that it might be too much for the den parents, but the Cubbing officials were assured by the den parents that with Den Chief Ken Booster on the job there would be no problem at all. Den 7 will continue to sign up Cubs but with the understanding that any new Cubs will be sent to another fmners den if and when another den mother is located, or will be able to remain in Den 7 only if another Cub graduates into """ *' * •%.'! Scouting or moves away, lMriftf le<« than twelve cute lh pibli The den parents and t>*h Chief Ken Booster feel that It ;would not be right to have a largenumber as there could not be individual instructions and attentlon for each and every Gub. Newest Cubs in the Den are Robert LeVand, Robert Bartell. Charles Thornton, Tim Parr and Roy Grooms. There are tw-j Lions, five Bears . and five Wolves in the Den. Best of luck and well wishes are extended to Cub Charles Anschutz, who is moving away and leaviiig Den 7, but will continue Cubbing, in his new home town. He will be greatly missed by all members of Den 7. Den Chief Ken Booster brought along a visiter last meeting, and who was greatly appreciated by all Cubs, the visitor <ms Scout Williams, a fine ScouW of Ken's Troop and is greatly interested in future Scouts coming up from the cub-, bing line. Scout Williams was of great assistance during the Den meeting in helping the Cubs pass their achievements and learning to be a good cub. Scout Williams is eager, willing and hopeful of becoming a Den Chief when the new Den is started. There is a dire need for Den Mothers in most every locality, so if you are interested or know someone who is interested in the future liveB of our younger gen; eration, please contact any Cub from Pack 361. December Pack meeting will Include a Christmas program for the Cubs and their parents. "The Cub Scouts Give Good Will." Some people 90 years without much attention to health. Others may need the Doctor on hand to start the day-- every day. Between these two extremes are great numbers of thinking people caring for their health in an orderly manner. They see their Doctor at regular intervals for guidance. They take the medicine he prescribes according to direction. They report unusual symptoms promptly. All these are common sense precautions and intelligent steps in health care, as is the practice of bringing your Doctor's prescriptions to this fine pharmacy. BOLGER'S 1«S S.
