LAKEMOOR and LIL YMOOR NEWS By Mrs. Pat Morrison YOUTH COMMISSION WORK The Illinois Youth Commission is preparing to enlarge state services for prevention of juvenile delinquency, according to Lee E. Daniels, commission chairman, A statewide survey of field work of the commission's new division of community services is now being made by Eugene J. Czachorski, a member of the commission. Jacksonville, Carbondato, Cairo, Monmouth, East St. Louis, Alton, Springfield and Rock Island are among the ooints on his itinerary. He has already visited numerous communities in eastern and northern Illinois; he expects to end his tour in mid-December. The state delinquency prevention program was conducted by the Department of Public Welfare Until last July 15, when newlyenacted legislation transferred it to the Youth Commissiorf as ®the division of community service.?. The division has been given the task of organizing and assisting local groups in various activities designed to prevent and contiol juvenile delinquency and to improve community conditions •known to contribute to youthful wrong-doing.
