Those from Wonder Lake present included Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Hayes, Mr. and Mrs. Justus Kellner, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Endee.v l During the meeting Mrs. Hayes was commended tot having sold a total of seven ty-fiv-; tickets for the polio benefit show given by the Ouild in late summer. Mrs. Hayes was second to the top ticket seller, William Kurz, of Greenwood. The Guild plans to' sell season tickets to all in the county interested in live theatre. The play season, scheduled to start in January at the opera *house in Woodstock, will include twelve plays. This year, a special student ticket has been instituted. 4-H Banquet A bajiquet. for the eighty^five outstanding 4-H members is to be given this evening at the Grace Lutheran church in Woodstock by the McHenry County Service company. This is the banquet that was sponsored for many years by the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce. Two Wonder Lake girls will be among those honored -- Judy Wielock, a member of a Ringwood club, and Betty Wright, a member of the Wonder Lake Busy Bumble Bee# club. A former resident will also be at the banquet. She is Judy Troxell of Hebron. Betty Wright won many honors this year and was an alternate to attend the state fair. She was chosen at the county fair after Bhe had modeled s white formal she had made as her project. Betty is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Cora Jean is the daughter of Mrs. Vera Henthorne Christiansen, a former resident of Wonder Lake, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Etta Schau of Indian Ridge. The course will take a year. Jean, who has been prominent as a 4-H girl, was graduated from MoHenry high sehaol in 1961. Back From Florida Mary Boldt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boldt of Indian Ridge, has just returned from a vacation in Florida. She was accompanied by a friend who works with her in the Woodstock State Bank. Golden Wedding Day Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kominsky, Who have had a summer home on Wonder Lake Drive for fifteen years, recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in Chicago. A turkey dinner for 125 people was served. Mrs. John Hinz and Mrs. Henning Widen of Wonder Lake were present at the celebration. ../.Christmas. H--HM. Mrs. Mary Vivasqua, mother of Catherine Baker of Indian Ridge subdivision, died Nov. 22 in Chicago. Services were held Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the chapel of Charles W. Anderson, followed by burial in Mt. Olive cemetery. Surviving ar? the husband, FVed; three children, Catherine, ,Bruce and Frank; also sbc grandchildren, Mary Ann, Joan, John, Linette, Frank and John Vivacqua. Mrs. Vivacqua was a frequent visitor in the home of her daughter. Secretary of State Charles F. Carpentier has announced the firsts discretionary suspensions and revocations of driver licenses based on\ reports of convictions for violation of a city ordinance. All of the convictions were had in the magistrate,, court of Waukegan before Judge Clarence L. Brown on the charge of driving while intoxicated. Secretary Caftjentier's action in each caBe was determined by the recommendation of Judge Biown. Three drivers had their driver licenses revoked, and five were suspendedjlfc * - . "In addition, the Waukegan police department's records of past arrests and convictions, as compiled by the traffic section, proved inestimable help. Judge Brown and the gratulated on the methods they are using to make the provisions of the new drivers license act effective, and I am deeply grateful for the generous cooperation they afforded members of my staff."
