Joseph Blitsch * spoke a ftW words to the assembled group.- Following the meeting, a card party and luncheon were enjoyed. Winners in cards were as follows: Pinochle, Connie May. Lena King, Vera Huemann and Marie Frett: canasta, Mabel King, Alvina Miller, Marie Oeffling and Florence Freund. Mrs. Anna Steffens was fortunate in getting a double run in spades which gave her a meld of 1500. On Wednesday night, Dec. 9, at 6:30, the Christmas party of the sodality will be held, with a pot-luck supper. There will also be a fifty cent gift exchange. Breakfast was served at the Effers home for the family and members of the wedding party following the service. At 5:30 o'clock a reception was attended by 300 guests at St. Mary's school hall. Following a ten-day trip to Florida, the couple will live in a new home on Big Hollow Road. The bride is a graduate of G>ant Community high school with the class of 1950.
