Christmas Meeting EXCHANGED AT PU JOHN'S CHURCH By DISORDERLY CONDUCT Joseph Janiczerski of Crystal Lake was arrested by McHenry police at 2 a.m. last Saturday night in front of the Riverside hotel at the corner of Riverside Drive and Elm street. He was charged with drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Taken before a justice of the peace, Janiczerski was fined $100 and $7 costs. St. John the Baptist church at Johnsburg was the scene of a pretty wedding which occurred Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 26, at 9:30 o'clock when Miss Betty Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Miller of Ringwood, became the bride of Mr. John Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Smith of McHenry. Rev. Fr. Joseph Blitsch officiated at the double ring ceremony, with the children's choir offering the nuptial music. ) The radiant bnde, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of shirred nylon tulle ruffling, encircled with a sweep of chantilly lace. Her fingertip veil was attached to a lace crown trimmed with seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of white pom poms and stephanotis. Attendants for, the bride were Mrs. Marilyn Benoy, sister of the bride, as matron of honor, Mrs. Theresa Gorst, a friend of the bride, and Miss Dolores Smith, sister of the groom, as bridesmaids. •. •• • AH wore gowns of iridescent aqua taffeta with net overskirt in waltz length. They wore white feathered hats and carried bouquets of white pompoms. The little flower girl was charming Theresa May, niefce of the bride, who wore a dress of pink taffeta with net overskirt and had a. white flowered head band. She .carried white pom poms. The ring bearer was Larry Smith, nephew of the bridegroom, who carried the rings on. a white satin pillow. Robert Smith served his brother as best man and Ralph Smith, another brother, and Donald Miller, brother of the bride, were groomsmen. ------ Mrs. Miller wore a ptam-colored dress with black accessories and a corsage of yellow and white pom poms. Mrs. Smith chose an aqua dress, black accessories and a corsage of white pom poms. Dinner was served at the Johnsburg Community clubhouse to seventy-five guests at 12:30 o'clock and at 5 in the afternoon 260 relatives and friends gathered there for evening reception. Miss Miller ' graduated from j the local high school in 1949 and has been employed by the Admiral Corporation. Mr. Smith, also a local high school graduate, employed as a butcher by hie father.
